consultations for families

per:spectrum offers specialist consultations, systemic therapeutic support and video-based work for parents, caregivers and other important adults in an autistic child’s life.

These consultations provide space to think together about everyday questions, challenges and moments of uncertainty, always with your child and your family life at the centre.

We often think together about topics such as:

strong feelings and emotional regulation
play and shared enjoyment
repetitive or stereotypical behaviours
communication and shared attention
eating and sleeping difficulties
self-injury or aggression towards others
sibling relationships
toilet learning
everyday routines and transitions

Together, we try to understand what may be happening for your child and your family, and explore practical, respectful ways forward that fit your child’s specific needs, your family’s values and the realities of everyday life.

PACT

PACT, the Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy, is an evidence-based parent-mediated intervention for young autistic children.

Using video feedback, we look together at short moments of interaction and explore how parents can notice, understand and respond to their child’s individual communication style.

The aim is to support shared attention, social communication and more connected everyday interaction.

Parent Groups

Parent groups offer a supportive space for parents and caregivers who would like to think together with others in similar situations.

The groups combine a short educational input with time for reflection, shared experience and practical ideas.

Themes may include communication, play, regulation, family life, behaviour, diagnosis, uncertainty and the emotional journey of parenting a young autistic child.

Early Development Consultation

This consultation is for parents of very young children who have questions about suspected or emerging autism, early development, communication, interaction, regulation and behaviour.

This work is informed by the developmental psychological consultation approach taught at the Maria Meierhofer Institute in Zurich.

Using short video clips, we look together at your child’s signals, needs and developmental tasks, and explore what may help your child feel understood and supported.

AMICA - Live Coaching

AMICA is a specialist remote coaching approach I developed for parents of young autistic children.

While you play or interact with your child at home, I support you in real time through a discreet earpiece and a direct video link on a laptop, tablet or mobile phone. You remain fully in control throughout and can decide how much coaching support you would like in each moment.

After the live play-coaching session, we use the recording for joint observation, reflection and discussion. Many parents describe AMICA play sessions as especially helpful in building confidence and discovering new ways of interacting with their child.

Why I use video-based support
